The Systems Designer is responsible for ensuring that the design of the game is actualized during gameplay. This involves a significant amount of dynamic matchmaking, as well as frequent prototyping and testing. The Systems Designer is also responsible for understanding all of the intricate gameplay metrics of both Human and Zombie players, and both casual and hardcore mindsets.


  • Played at least one game of Humans vs. Zombies or Outbreak (at DigiPen or another school)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Experience playing as both a Human and a Zombie
  • Must be currently-enrolled at DigiPen Institute of Technology
  • Strong rapid prototyping skills


  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel
  • Currently pursuing BAGD, BSGD, or RTIS degree
  • Played multiple games of Humans vs. Zombies and/or Outbreak
  • Experience running pen-and-paper RPG's
  • Experience in a "Lead Designer" role on a GAM team or equivalent
